NYE in NYC
the LOOK: leather jeans, a blazer and sparkly heels
Happy 2014!! This year has flown by and it has been quite the year for this blog. This coming March will officially mark the start of my blog life, I began setting up and dabbling towards the end of 2012, but 2013 is when it really began. I'm so excited for what another year will bring.
This year was one of the first New Years in forever that I did not have to work, so even though I did not have a lot of extra money- I had to seize the opportunity and go to the city. One of my lovely ladies suggested a night out in Mid-town near her friends apartment. Sold! We had a nice low key dinner at Hendrik's in Murray Hill and my drink of the evening was Hendrick's on the rocks. Sounds like a perfect match. We then decided to let the drinking commence on a balcony with a view. I spent it with some great friends and some new friends.
When the ball dropped I kissed my boyfriend for the fifth New Year's spent together and I couldn't imagine it any other way. I feel like 2014 is the year to be the start of greatness! I'm amped for a new year and I'm not going to make silly resolutions, instead I will simply make change. I say this because you don't need a new year to make change, change starts purely with you- the timing is irrelevant. Now that the craze of the holidays is over I plan to keep to what I'm doing, but do it better- eat cleaner (yes that means a lot less rich food recipes), live bigger, and be a better blogger.
So, now that we've got that settled. Let's take a look at what I wore for this year's NYE. I scored the pants and blazer on a super sale at Saks Fifth avenue and the shoes from from a wedding I went to a few years ago, which I believe we're from Saks as well. I'm kind of obsessed with these gray denim pants though and especially when they were $130 and I scored them for $60- ah yeah!
i'm wearing:
| SAKS 5TH blazer | H&M blouser |
| GRAY DENIM leather pants | TARGET belt |
| SAKS- BOUTIQUE 9 shoes |
