Country Chic

Home can be anywhere.  It can be where you found your place in the world, where you dreamed of living, the place that always brought you back, or simply where you grew up. They say you don't know where you're going, till you know where you've been. I don't know who they are, and I don't always agree with this they. Though, they definitely have something here. "Where you come from", whether you run from it, or embrace it, it certainly always shapes who you are and who you become.

I grew up on the east end of Long Island and is as close to a beautiful country side as you can get being only an hour and a half from the city. I grew up in the first town of New York's wine country. The area is a bit sleepy, but beautiful. And I couldn't wait to get out. I lived all over, even in the Caribbean,  though I moved out of my dad's house 11 years and thought I'd never go back. Now, I live in Brooklyn and find myself spending leisure time on the north fork enjoying the quaint towns, great food, hidden gems, and beautiful vineyards.  This is what growing up feels like, going back and appreciating your roots
